Research & Policy
Our research is characterised by providing the best data and analysis in difficult and uncertain contexts. Often, information is not readily available and best practises have not been established. We thrive in these contexts and our research often forms the basis for policy and law formulation.
Examples of our work include conducting a legal aid baseline study in Rwanda followed by the drafting of a green paper on a legal aid policy. Similarly, we have conducted an assessment of access to justice in Swaziland and then developed a Legal Aid Policy for the country.
